    Reported by:

Austin was born this week, earlier than expected, with spina bifida. He was immediately medivaced to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), while his mother recovered from her C-section at a different hospital. After three long days apart, Michelle was finally able to make it to CHOP and meet her little boy for the first time. I spent two years working as a registered nurse at CHOP and I'm so thankful for institiuions like this that provide amazing care for kids and their families.

A very impactful image you shared with us here, Meg. Your caption lets me understand just how important children's hospitals are and how helpful they can be. The moment you captured here is so emotional and shows the strength of a parent who is caring for a child. Thank you for sharing this on Your Shot.
