    On the banks of the Ganges, the "Ganga Aarti" or Hindu ceremony of offering to the Mother River is celebrated every day. at sunset. 5 members of the priestly caste (or Brahmins) are placed on altars adorned with flowers and carpets between the smell of incense and the sound of mantras and drums. There, they thank Ganga for a new day. There are five elements used in the offering: water, earth, fire, wind and spirit. in front of the river while they turn five turns in a hypnotic choreography.
