Edit Photo Details The buttercups I'd never photographed   #england #sussex
We have lived here 9 years but only this year did I get to photograph the buttercups that come once a year in our village on the south coast of England. This field is known as Hobbs Eares (Hobbs is an old English word for devil, and the field was probably so named because it was poor quality for growing crops). Our village of East Dean lies directly ahead, dating back 1000 years. The oldest parts of the church are Saxon.
