Compressed plastic bags and bottles have almost become a part of the landscape surrounding Regional Waste Management Centre Duboko, near Užice, Serbia. This regional centre is responsible for the collection, selection, compression and preparation for recycling of PET, MET and other non-hazardous waste from several towns in central Serbia.The photo was made in May 2018 during my field research on waste management when I became familiar with numerous environmental issues and threats in this area.
