Cherry blossoms at the masonic temple
Every spring, thousands of people come to washington dc to catch peak bloom of the cherry blossoms. but 4 miles south of washington, in alexandria, is a gathering of cherry blossoms that perfectly frame the george washington masonic temple. this historic landmark was built in 1932 to honor our first president, and its location is the best way to see these blossoms up close without the major crowds. its a true gem often overlooked because of the better known landmarks in dc.
