The true cruelty of war.
My generation grew up without knowing what war looks like. What it sounds like. What it feels like.
We grew up in a bubble, learning about battles and death counts through books and war movies. We have not been affected by past or ongoing wars as much as our fathers. Today, I hope this photo will convey to the rest of my generation, the feeling I had when I captured it. I hope it will serve as a reminder of what the true cruelty of war really is.
