While in Granada our shuttle driver took a detour to show us the cemetery that houses a former Nicaraguan President's final resting place. As we jogged around to take in as many sites as we could without making our driver wait for too long, we stopped in our tracks to allow this silent horse drawn carriage funeral procession pass us by. We were greeted with smiles and warm eye contact welcoming my camera documenting this moment in life and death, culture and tradition.
