Captured this shot of two male Sambar Deers overlooking a lake, earlier this year, on a warm February evening in Tadoba National Park. Notice the petite white egret, coexisting comfortably alongside them. Egrets have a nuanced symbiotic relationship with these deers, wherein they are allowed to feed off the tiny bugs that would have otherwise bit and bothered the Sambars.
