    Captured from boat near Port Alice on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Sea Otters will generally give birth to one pup. On occasion, they will have two but will abandon 1 as they can't care for two. As sad as this is, Mom will aggressively protect her Pup. The young will stay with mom for about one year, nursing for the first 2 months before transitioning to solid food.
