Plum trees are often written in old Japanese paintings. Unlike cherry blossom trees, plum branches are powerful and I am very interested. In Japan there is the word Shochikubai(松竹梅). In Japan, pine, bamboo and plum are used as good auspicious items. I take pictures of plum trees like that. That is because it is also a symbol of Japan.
