Sea stacks and black beaches
Iceland is one of those must visit destinations. We visited in February and experienced some of the harshest weather conditions imaginable. Most of the roads on the south of the island had been closed for 2 days and we jam-packed our days with venues to visit but Iceland knew this and the weather often lifted for short periods to show you the beauty and contrasts of this amazing landscape - the softness of falling snow on basalt beaches with a new day dawning.
