I was excited to capture the Great American Eclipse and had studied my photo settings for months in advance. The highways to Salem, Oregon, were full of fellow eclipse chasers, so I slept in my pickup truck overnight and rose early to get set up. When the big moment came, I was so excited that I forgot all of those carefully rehearsed steps and was overcome with amazement!
