    This is one of the stray cats that live along the river at my place. Each year there are new cats and some that don't make it through the harsh North Dakota winters. These strays that live at the river keep peace with the folks who live around it by catching mice; and in return the folks set out scraps to keep them around. In a farming community the cat is one of the most important working animals to have around.
