This newly born kitten was found at a day old (with the umbillical cord still attached) in the dirt about a week after a wildfire swept through our property. Her mom, not our cat, escaped the flames and had the litter under our shed but disappeared, probably taken by a coyote. I named her Lil Smokey because she survived the smoke and flames.
