Although most of my 10-day visit to Kauai, Hawaii was experienced in overcast and/or rainy skies, there were a few high points of sunlight as well. The very first evening we arrived at the so-called "sunny coast" along the south, we experienced a magnificent display of golden sun reflections on the trees, fields and mountains around us. At that point, we were optimistic that clear skies would be the norm for the rest of our visit, but that unfortunately turned out to be a pipe-dream.
