The Picture Of Love
My dad left when I was 2 & my Mom had to move away for work, leaving me with my grandparents for 5 years. This picture was in my room & I would imagine it was my Mom and me. The picture vanished after Grandma died. 30 years later I found an identical one which inspired a poem, The Picture of Love, penned for my Mom on Mother’s Day, 2017, and 60 years in the making: https://marinangeleo.wordpress.com/2017/05/14/the-picture-of-love/ Grandma taught me to quilt, hence the quilt for the background.
