A small-plot coffee farmer concentrates as he harvests only the ripest cherries during the coffee harvest. Farms that product the highest quality coffees will pick the cherries multiple times a week as they ripen to ensure that they are at full maturity and have soaked in as many nutrients as possible. This image was taken in Yepocapa, Guatemala which sits on the slopes of Volcan Acatanango. The constant ash fall from it's neighbor, Volcan De Fuego, provides the plants with nutrient dense soil.
