The ability to cultivate fruit trees is one of the great benefits of living in Florida, but as with any bounty of nature, it comes with competition. I am always racing to beat the squirrels, rats, lizards, and insects to the ripe mangos provided by the tree in my back yard. Several weeks ago, I had a showdown with this sneaky squirrel, who still had some crumbs on its nose. It's unclear if I or the squirrel felt more infringed upon.
