Catching flies
A Magallenic Penguin in the Punta Tombo nature reserve, in Patagonia, Argentina. There are hundreds of penguins here on the coast of Patagonia, but I happened to cross this penguin further inland as it called loudly for its mate. I love the way these penguins waddle around, getting on with their business, oblivious to the visiting tourists.
Fantastic. I usually see penguins in the snow, in the winter. So to see it in the fields caught my eye. I can hear it calling out for its mate. I love Your Shot photographer Noreen Underwood's reaction to your photo: "Great shot Mathew. Do you think he is waiting for a fish to fall out of the sky? :))" That made me laugh. Because now that is all I see... I am waiting for a fish to coming into frame...
