A pair of Burchell's Zebra stallions fight it out for herd dominance. During the breeding season, or rut, male animals will compete for mating rights. The winner will get the herd and ensure its genetics are carried on through future generations. It's that simple. Fights will be intense, the end result often ending in death or serious injury to one. Zebra will typically bite or kick, just like their distant cousins the horse and donkey. These stallions just started their fight.
