    Reported by:

Dreaming in doorways or curled up on cobblestones, Cuba's canines are a beautiful reflection of the resilience, persistence and creativity needed to live here. With a human population of <12 million, there are 1 million+ dogs. Some are claimed, and a large number live outside, happy to trade a wagging tail for a snack or belly rub. There are efforts underway to curb the population, yet I found these pups to be generally happy, claiming whole communities and passing tourists among their packs.
