Maroon Bells
The Maroon Bells in the White River National Forest are some of the the most iconic mountains in the USA. They are steep and very tall, reaching over 14,000 feet above sea level. I shot this photo on my first visit to Crested Butte, Colorado. I asked the hotel concierge for a good hike and she suggested I hike up to Copper Lake. I did not end up there due to high water river crossings, but the scenery was stunning regardless.
