I wanted to convey what I felt was actually happening as Jesus Christ was crucified - that he was fully merged with His Father at those moments. That I also wanted to convey that He was like a ' strong swimmer' breasting the evil as it was, as it was perpetrated towards Him. I found much later in my faith that when He uttered ' My God, My God why hast thou forsaken me?' - that He was fulfilling the prophesy of King David as in the psalm that he wrote.
