A foreign land in complete darkness, yet well aware of the danger that surrounded me. Vents shooting hot air on my ankles as I walked through the 61g lava flow on the south shore of Hawaii. The rumbling of the earth moving below me was unsettling, but I was somehow guided by Tutu Pele. She kept the skies clear and allowed me safe passage. I shot all through the night, captivated by Mother Nature. Creation before my very eyes.
