A Bald Eagle or Haliaeetus leucocephalus, an apex winged predator in Canada's Atlantic Provinces. The Bald Eagle lives up to 28 years and boasts a massive wing span of up to 8 feet. As massive a predator it is, its only between 6 ½ and 14 lbs. In flight, a bald eagle soars at a speed of 30 mph, while in a dive, its speed can exceed 100 mph. With a grip of over 1000 lbs per square inch, escape from its grasp is rare. It's powerful grasp on display here, as it effortlessly tears its prey to pieces
