Bison in Grasslands National Park
It was late afternoon and as I was driving in the Grasslands, I saw three dots on the horizon. I got out of the vehicle and watched as they moved closer and closer. They came within 20 feet of me and are the most magnificent creatures up close, like something ancient from the past. Buffalo here are particularly significant since they were almost completely eradicated due to colonizers genocide practices on North America's First People.
