While this image may seem serendipitous with a coyote stalking geese in the backdrop of some wonderful light, this was just 1 of 28 trips made to Staten Island last winter. In being a frequent visitor to the area you become in tune with the animals (it is 1 coyote from a family of 3) and birdlife, where they prefer to roost, roam, hunt and feed. There is a deeper reason than photography to endure cold foggy mornings and not take a single photo and I know it goes to the heart of this assignment.
