This is the Greek island of Samos. Mathematician Pythagoras lived Pythagóreion. Island in the sun rope hanging octopus drying they are doing service in restaurants. Octopus has been a popular dish in Greece for thousands of years and many fish restaurants in the country have been stapled in a menu.

This image has haunted me in the most beautiful way since I first saw it. I love what Brenda Snape said, "The light, the beach scene and the octopus...they meld together yet could be separate images all on their own." While they could absolutely be images on their own, this frame in its entirety feels unsettling and beautiful all at once and that tension is what I love so much about it. Beautifully seen, Feray!
