The town of Pisa in Italy is known for its star attraction namely the Leaning tower. However, there are many hidden gems that are waiting to be discovered. I had the opportunity to stay over for one night in the town and was floored with what the place had to offer. Santa Maria Della Spina is a small gothic church that sits right at the edge if the Amo river. The church glowed in the pale street lights against the backdrop of the river and made a fantastic sight to behold.
