While on my Down East tour, I did several Milky Way shoots. This is is the first installment of those shoots. It was taken at 1:30 a.m. Monday morning at Sand Beach in Acadia National Park. Not a sole was there, just me. I wandered around in the darkness looking for a composition and I stumbled upon the life guard stand and surf board you see in the foreground. I composed the image to include the lifeguard station, the MW, and Mars (seen on the left hand side of the image).
