    “Old Boone Road” is named after Daniel Boone, well-known American pioneer, frontiersman, explorer. He traveled this old passageway through the mountains of western North Carolina. It was very quiet as I stood there on this foggy morning. There was a feeling of looking back in time, into history itself, and I pondered the stories of those who once traveled through this area long ago..
