    No one is allowed to live on the island of Despotiko because of an ongoing archeological dig, but a shepherd who has run his goats and sheep for years is allowed to continue to do so. His hut still stands, even though he lives on the neighboring island and comes over daily to let his livestock out of the pens where they spend the night.
