Had the chance to visit Car Nicobar sometime back. While I was struck by the untouched beauty, there was no mistaking the air of danger that hung over the place. Scenes such as these were a grim reminder of the Tsunami which had struck in 2004 and of the devastation it had caused. The native Nicobarese however have put this all behind and inspite of the massive loss of life and property, have refused to leave this place which even today, continues to be as vulnerable as before.
