Met this farmer while I was exploring the Kookal village in Kodaikanal and taking photographs of the step fields. He showed me his fields and when asked about which crop he was growing, I was not able to understand as I didn't know the local language. It was actually garlic. He took me to his house which was nearby and showed me his crop and also offered me tea and biscuits. The garlic was stored by hanging the bags to the ceiling. Before leaving, I captured a portrait of him with his wife.
