We were hiking in a canyon as we made our way through the Badlands when we spotted a Bighorn Sheep at the top of one of the peaks. We watched as it gracefully, but cautiously made its way down the rock's face and stand on a small outcrop of rock. It was a short jump to the next ledge, but a long fall if you missed. The sheep stood there for only a few moments before confidentially making the leap and continuing on through the Badlands' dangerous, but breathtaking, landscape.
