    The basilica is dedicated to José de Nazaret, to whom Brother San Andrés credited all his supposed miracles. Many of them were related to a certain healing power and many pilgrims (paralyzed, blind, sick, etc.) came to his basilica, including many Protestants. In the basilica there is a covered wall, as an exhibition, with the images of those he cured. Pope John Paul II recognized the authenticity of miracles and beatified Brother André in 1982
