    It's not hard to understand why flowers are so popular in photography. They are a delight for the senses. They accompany us through happy and sad times. But, it's difficult to find new compositions. This Dahlia image was taken early in the morning at Hudson Gardens. I liked the contrast that the bud offered in a sea of orange and red. I used an in-camera softening filter to emphasize its beauty.
