The Ring Fort
Grianan of Aileach, a 6th century ring fort in the north of Ireland. Many tourists travel to the fort during the summer months to take in the ancient beauty of the massive stone ring and to walk to St. Patrick’s Cross. Photos of the perfect stone circle and the patchwork green below are often favorites of those who find themselves here. I love to take pictures of segments of the fort, as the juxtaposition of the grey and green stones to the soft and airy fields below are absolutely breathtaking.
