For over 2000 years, in Myanmar, people from all ages apply thanaka, a cosmetic made from bark of thanaka trees, to their faces. It acts as sunblock, refreshes their skin and its become something of an esthetic feature for local people. Here, at a local pagoda, families and young ones apply on their faces.
