Turkish Market
Akko, once the capital of the Crusader kingdom, today is a tourist city and World Heritage Conservation Site. While the Old City with preserved city walls is primarily an Arab town, Akko as a whole is a rare mixed city in Israel, meaning Jews, Arabs & Christians all live together in peace. Here a Muslim woman walks through the Turkish Market with her cell phone in the morning before all of the shops open. This is a quieter market than the city market.
