USS Yorktown CV-10 Starboard Side
The starboard side of the USS Yorktown CV-10. The USS Yorktown was an aircraft carrier during WWII, updated to support jets - changing to an attack carrier - during the Korean War, an anti-submarine aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War, and retrieved the Apollo 8 capsule in 1968. The USS Yorktown was decommissioned in 1970 and since 1975 has been the main attraction of the Patriots Point Maritime Museum in Charleston, South Carolina.
