"Fairy Penguins"
These are "Little Blue Penguins" the smallest species of penguin, found on the coastlands of Australia and New Zealand. They grow to an average height of 33 cm and 43 cm in length. In Australia, they are often called "Fairy Penguins" due to their size. This photo was taken at a sanctuary preserve in Australia. I was also able to view (no photos allowed) them in their natural setting in the evening, watching as they came up from the ocean and made way for their nests and called to their mates.
