Following an ancient path
Over hundreds of years, villagers of Palangan, a small village in Kurdistan Province, northwest of Iran, have been using this narrow pathway along the cliff to commute to neighboring villages. Donkeys are widely used in daily life which requires climbing up and down near-vertical pathways. This Kurdish village is known for stone houses stacked on one another, with one house's roof forming the yard/pathway for the next. Despite its postcard-perfect view, the village is still a hidden gem in Iran.
