Mongolian Highway
With a land size of around 1.5 million square kms and a population of just over 3 million, where nearly half of which live in the capital of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is one of the most sparsely inhabited countries. So it comes as no surprise that there are very few sealed roads once you leave the city. With many of the paths navigated being not much more than each traveller following other's tyre tracks, needless to say with even just a little rain driving soon becomes hazardous, and very boggy.
