In Indian, many people die due to snake bite during cultivation. These snakes reside in the rat burrows in the paddy fields. When the rain fills the burrows, they come out. In Purulia, it is also a daily incident especially in the foothill areas. The people here, are quite experienced and know which snakes are poisonous or nonpoisonous. In each cases they keep safe distance. The photograph shows a Indian rock python which was searching a dry burrow.
