Navratri is a big nine day long festival in India. Navratri literally translates into nine nights. It is celebrated all over the country. It celebrates the victory of good over evil. In West Bengal it is celebrated as Durga Puja. Durga Puja is not just a festival, it is an emotion for every Bengali. Irrespective of wherever one stays, one would always crave to be in Bengal, back home, for those few days. This photo was taken during Sandhi Puja, performed at the end of the eighth day.
