    Capturing lightning definitely hooked me into exploring photography. This was one of those outstanding midwestern electrical storms that made you wonder if you’d stepped into a movie. Or perhaps remind you how in control of this world we really aren’t. This was my first successful use of a wide angle lens, having failed to capture anything during the previous two storms. I had success before with prime lenses but needed to adjust my approach a bit. It was quite a fun puzzle to figure out.
