During a recent trip to Iceland, the weather wasn't spectacular for photography, but perfect for hiking... Other than the 70mph winds we had to endure while hiking across a 15 mile section of the highlands which was riddled with snow fields to navigate. This shot was taken at a place that felt like a magical oasis in the middle of a mountainous, volcanic desert butting up against massive glaciers making their way down to canyons and rivers below.

    Story 2

Sometimes cloudy days offer better days for photography, because the light is diffused and softer... I love looking up at the waterfall, it feels so majestic. Great decision to shoot this scene with a slow shutter speed, to capture the water flowing down. This does feel like a magical oasis, what a wonderful reward for your hike.
