    Maroon Lake is one of the most photographed places in Colorado, but it is usually seen from another viewpoint: along the shores of the lake with the Maroon Bells looming in the background. The trail up to Crater Lake offers this amazing view, looking down on Maroon LAke and the valley beyond.
