Board games form an integral part of Indian culture and goes back to even the Mahabharatha, which talks of a game of dice played by kings. Here, in this photo of a 6th Century CE cave-temple in Badami, Karnataka, you can see board games being carved on the floor and played. You can find many such games being carved on the floors at numerous historic temples across India.
